Diarmuid Laffan will captain Ireland from blind side wing forward in the schools rugby international against Wales at Donnybrook on Saturday next (kick-off 6pm).

Scrum half Duncan Williams from CBC Cork is the only survivor from last season, although Paul Collins, from Templeogue College, who was a replacement last season, is now selected at prop forward.

The Ireland team will play away internationals against England and France on April 9 and 17.

The Irish Schools team selected to play Wales on Saturday, April 3, at Donnybrook is as follows:
