AIL Division Three: Review
Greystones surrendered their two-week old leadership of Division Three, as City of Derry ran in four tries in a 30-6 win over the Wicklow men.
City of Derry now move ahead of Banbridge into fifth. Highfield are the new leaders after their bonus point win, 36-19 at Portadown.
Instonians, former leaders of the Division could hold the key to the championship chase as they won 11-5 against Connemara.
A try from number 8 Quinton Caulfield, added to a Sean Flynn conversion and a drop goal by scrum half Iain Knox saw the Shaw’s Bridge men win 11-5.
Instonians have four games to play from now until the end of April, with a rescheduled fixture in Ballina and visits to all of the top three to come, Greystones, Highfield and Ards.
Elsewhere third-placed Ards lost 16-14 at Clonakilty, while Corinthians (13-10 v Ballina), Naas (23-10 v Banbridge) and Old Wesley (22-15 v Skerries) all enjoyed home wins.
Out-half Eoin Hogan notched a try and a conversion as Suttonians defeated Wanderers, a side five places above them before the start of play, 17-5.
Jimmy Quill and Ciaran Smith also touched down for the Dublin 13 club.
