Talks have begun over the feasibility of England and Scotland meeting twice a year in separate RBS 6 Nations and Calcutta Cup matches.

The governing bodies of the old rivals discussed the proposal before Saturday’s match at Murrayfield, which saw Clive Woodward’s men remain on course to defend their Grand Slam title with an emphatic 35-13 victory.
