Humphreys scoops Guinness award

Ireland and Ulster out half David Humphreys was today named as the Guinness Draught Can Irish Celtic League Player of the month for December.

Ireland’s most capped fly half returned from the World Cup in Australia and slotted back into the Ulster team to help continue the province's success that saw them lift the Celtic Cup in December.

Humphreys calm leadership and superb kicking when Ulster played Edinburgh earned him a man of the match performance that sees him voted the player of the month for December.

The Guinness Draught Can Irish Celtic League Player of the Month was decided by the members of the national sports media and will continue each month throughout the Celtic League.
