Ulster prop Clem Boyd has been forced to retire from professional game after being diagnosed with a heart condition.

Boyd, capped 24-times for the All Whites, was a central member of Belfast Harlequins.

Ulster coach Alan Solomons said: "It is sad for Clem that his career has ended prematurely. This year presented a great opportunity for him and it is a great shame that circumstances have denied him this chance".
