Two Blair tries give Ballymena final place

Lansdowne 3 Ballymena 10

Two tries from Ballymena second row Mark Blair decided this All Ireland League semi-final on the back pitch this afternoon.

Ballymena had a strong wind in the first half but failed to register a score with full back, Paddy Wallace, unsuccessful with two penalty attempts.

Lansdowne then introduced Irish and Leinster back, Shane Horgan, after the break and took the lead for the first and only time through a Matt Leek drop goal.

But Ballymena's foward power prevailed with Blair going over for tries in the 20th and 75th minute.
