France prop to have drugs hearing

France prop Pieter de Villiers will have his French Rugby Federation (FFR) hearing into drugs offences heard on Wednesday March 5, after the Stade Français tighthead tested positive for cocaine and ecstasy back in December.

France prop Pieter de Villiers will have his French Rugby Federation (FFR) hearing into drugs offences heard on Wednesday March 5, after the Stade Français tighthead tested positive for cocaine and ecstasy back in December.

Following that initial positive sample De Villiers was dropped for the duration of the Six Nations by the French national team management, but with reports emerging as to the legality of the test which eventually showed the positive sample, he could well be free to play in the Rugby World Cup in October.
