Irish replacements named for first NZ test

The Irish replacements for the first test against the All Blacks in the Carisbrook Stadium, Dunedin on Saturday (08:05am Irish Time) have been named.

The Irish replacements for the first test against the All Blacks in the Carisbrook Stadium, Dunedin on Saturday (08:05am Irish Time) have been named.

They are:

16: Shane Byrne (Leinster/Blackrock College)

17: Paul Wallace (Leinster/Blackrock College)

18: Malcolm O’Kelly (Leinster/St. Mary’s College)

19: AN Other

20: Guy Easterby (Llanelli)

21: David Humphreys (Ulster/Dungannon)

22: Mel Deane (Sale)

The back row vacancy left in Ireland’s list of replacements will not be filled until shortly before the game. The Irish management is awaiting a further fitness test on Alan Quinlan (Munster/Shannon), knee injury, and in the event of him not being available; the place will rest between David Wallace (Munster/Garryowen) and Leo Cullen (Leinster/Blackrock College).

The match is live on Sky Sports and RTE Radio One.
