Six Nations: Johnson and Dallaglio return on England bench

Former England captains Martin Johnson and Lawrence Dallaglio have been named on the bench for the Six Nations clash against Italy in Rome on Sunday.

Their fellow Lion, Austin Healey, has been dropped to the substitutes as England's one change in their starting line-up following the record victory over Wales.

Healey, full-back against Wales, makes way for the return of fit-again Jason Robinson.

There are no other changes as England boss Clive Woodward sticks with Dan Luger, who scored two tries in the Wales romp, and Ben Cohen as his first-choice wings.

Johnson, available again after serving a three-week ban, sees the captaincy retained by Leicester team-mate Neil Back, who wins his 50th cap.

For Dallaglio, who has played only one full game since recovering from knee reconstruction surgery, it will be his first appearance in an England match-day 22 since last April.

Woodward said: "No-one should read anything into Martin Johnson starting on the bench.

"It is purely because I want to see Danny Grewcock and Ben Kay play together again and Martin will have a major part to play in the game."
