Lions Tour: Dawson facing internal rap after Lions comments
Former England captain Matt Dawson is facing an internal rap from the Lions bosses after his outspoken comments in his newspaper column yesterday.
Dawson criticised the Lions coaches and management, but he is still available for selection on the Australian tour. Any action taken against him will not be made public and Lions manager Donal Lenihan has said Dawson has apologised for the outburst.
Meanwhile, Lenihan has delayed naming his team to play Super Club champions ACT Brumbies until tomorrow.
The Lions are currently on their way to Canberra for that game on Tuesday.
Lenihan also confirmed that Colin Jarvis has been suspended for two matches after he was cited by the independent match commissioner.
Robin McBryde is also definitely out of the tour because of a thigh problem that has been troubling him for three weeks. The Welsh international will travel home with Lawrence Dallaglio on Tuesday.
The Lions have no need to send for a replacement because England hooker Dorian West arrived as cover last week.
