Munster players to watch
Second-row Sean O’Connor. A member of the distinguished Cashel family, this towering young man was a member of last year’s Irish schools side and looks to have the capacity to secure a career in the professional game. Tall and rangy in the line-out, he distinguished himself in mini-rugby circles before moving to Rockwell
Out-half Conor Fitzgerald. While the young man (who will be eligible again next season) would firmly dismiss such a suggestion, it is highly unlikely that Ardscoil would be in the final without his staggeringly successful goal kicking ratio. So far he has landed 14 penalty kicks in three cup outings, displaying nerves of steel in doing so. Given that Rockwell are odds-on favourites, he may well be required to perform similar heroics if Ardscoil are to pick up the trophy for the first time.
