Cobh Pirates out to sink Clonmel’s title charge

It could prove a decisive weekend in the Junior Leagues for a couple of Tipperary rugby clubs.

Clonmel are set to claim the league title should they overcome the challenge of Cobh Pirates in a repeat of the Clubs Challenge Cup final, while a similar result for Clanwilliam will guarantee them promotion back to the top flight.

This will be the first of two chances Clonmel have to claim the title. They will be eager to ensure it is secured as quickly as possible to enable them switch their focus to the round robin and the defence of their Junior Cup.
