Irish veteran Tania Rosser insists Ireland must move on from the disappointment of Tuesday’s World Cup semi-final loss ahead of tomorrow’s third-place play-off.

A 40-7 defeat to England at Stade Jean-Bouin left the Irish girls shell-shocked but there is still plenty to play for against the tournament hosts in Paris.

“We have to stay positive. It hurts at the moment but when we wake up we have to go again and focus on Sunday,” urged the 36-year-old, who came out of retirement for the tournament. “We need to park this game and move on because we can still finish third which would be a huge achievement.
