Chambers ready for take off with Munster

WILL CHAMBERS, Munster’s latest signing, arrived in Ireland yesterday and is likely to make his debut for the RaboDirect Pro12 champions in an A game against Connacht in Galway on Friday week.

The 23-year-old former rugby league star signed a short-term contract from Super 15 champions Queensland Reds, who released him due to a new salary cap that forced the club to cull the size of their squad.

Chambers lost out, according to a Reds spokesman, because he hadn’t had much game time last season due to injury but he still comes to Ireland highly recommended.
