Ireland World Cup kit revealed

IRELAND’S 2011 World Cup kits were launched yesterday.

The home and alternative jerseys, engineered to soak up moisture and regulate body warmth, are styled on traditional buttoned neck rugby shirts from the 1800s.

Cut for an athletic fit, it works with the body during exertion providing compression to support muscles and improving blood circulation.

They will wear the alternative kit for the first time against France on August 13 in Bordeaux, the first time Ireland will ever have worn an alternative shirt against any test side other than South Africa.
