Connacht’s Muldoon ready for action

CONNACHT coach Michael Bradley has received a boost with skipper John Muldoon being passed fit to play in their final Amlin Challenge Cup game in Spain tomorrow.

The 27-year old was doubtful with a hamstring injury picked up in the 20-10 win over Montpellier at the weekend.

But the back rower has been cleared to play and will lead the side as they bid to complete their pool campaign with a maximum six wins for the first time.

Bradley indicated earlier in the week that he was not going to rest players ahead of a match they are expected to win with ease and he is bringing his strongest possible squad with him to play Olympus Madrid.

Flanker Ray Ofisa is out through injury along with full-back Gavin Duffy and lock Andrew Browne, but otherwise it is a full strength squad heading to Spain.

“There is a job to be done. We are going out there to win the match and then go for the bonus point,” said Bradley.

“There is a break from games for a few weeks after this one so we will put our best foot forward and take it from there.”
