Bradley sticks to winning formula

CONNACHT coach Michael Bradley has resisted the temptation to bring fit-again players back into action and is sticking with most of the squad which defeated Worcester last weekend.

Former international Johnny O’Connor and promising lock Andrew Browne have recovered from injury while experienced centre Keith Matthews has almost regained full fitness.

But Bradley is sticking with the squad which defeated Worcester 26-21 for tomorrow night’s crucial Amlin Challenge Cup tie against the English side.

Two changes to the squad see Adrian Flavin, who had been selected on the bench last week but had to cry off through illness, return while Kieran Campbell takes over from replacement scrum-half Conor O’Loughlin who is out with a calf injury.

“We have decided, as much as possible, to stick with the players who delivered the victory last week.

“It was a very good performance and the players who came off the bench impressed as well so we felt it better not to change things round.

“We have a busy schedule of matches coming up over the next few weeks so it is a boost to have guys available again after injury,” said coach Michael Bradley.
