LISTOWEL, famed for its writers and horse racing festivals, is aiming to achieve acclaim as a rugby stronghold.

Munster’s success has led to a rebirth of the oval code in the North Kerry town and history will be made Saturday when the U10 side become the first team from the club to play at Thomond Park.

The clash with Dungarvan at half time in the Magners League tie between Munster and Ulster is attracting huge interest in the Kingdom according to Club PRO Caroline Hughes.
