The Toulouse flyer has been nursing a minor leg injury that has forced him to miss training sessions this week.
But he returned to the paddock yesterday and he is sure he will be ready for the Africans this weekend.
“Physically, I am getting better and better,” said Heymans. I am jogging and I am sprinting so I am not worried.”
Heymans played at full-back in the 17-12 defeat to Argentina last weekend, but will return to his usual position on the wing against Namibia.
Winger Christophe Dominici is sidelined until at least the start of next week because of a thigh complaint.
The Stade Francais veteran has not taken part in training this week, with an ultrasound scan revealing an injury to his left thigh muscle.
Dominici’s Stade team-mate David Skrela, who injured his Achilles in the 17-12 defeat to Argentina, is expected to lose his crutches at the end of this week.
The fly-half will miss the games against Namibia and Ireland but should be available for Les Bleus’ last pool match, against Georgia.
Meanwhile Namibia have made three changes, one positional, to their starting line-up to face France.
Openside Michael MacKenzie replaces the injured Heino Senekal, who limped off early in Sunday’s 32-17 defeat by Ireland.
MacKenzie’s call-up results in a back row reshuffle with Jacques Nieuwenhuis moving from blindside to number eight and Jacques Burger shifting in the opposite direction.
At scrum-half, Jurie van Tonder replaces Eugene Jantjies who is forced to settle for a place among the substitutes.
