Wallace’s golden chance to get career back on track

DAVID WALLACE has gone from wondering if he might ever play for Ireland again to figuring in one of his country’s biggest games of recent seasons - Saturday’s Triple Crown clash with Scotland at Lansdowne Road.

Wallace’s golden chance to get career back on track

Wallace has been drafted in for the injured Keith Gleeson, who broke his arm in last Saturday’s game against Italy, while the only other change is the recall of Paul O’Connell in place of his Munster teammate Donncha O’Callaghan in the second-row.

Gleeson’s injury could hardly have come at a worse time but, conversely, it also presents Wallace with a golden opportunity to reactivate his career in a match of huge significance.
