Injured Horgan included in 33-man Irish squad
Players based outside Ireland, such as Keith Wood and Kevin Maggs, were not available, but coach Eddie O'Sullivan is delighted with the time he has been given to work with the majority of the squad in advance of the Six Nations Championship that begins in February.
Even though David Wallace is unlikely to play serious rugby for many more weeks, he has been included in the squad of 33 and that is indicative of Ireland's intent to keep all frontline players in the frame for the New Year and beyond to Ireland's tour of Australia and the World Cup in the same country next October.
