England to battle on with or without Jonny

ENGLAND coach Clive Woodward is determined to lead his world champions back to winning ways on the summer tour to New Zealand and Australia, with or without Jonny Wilkinson.

Wilkinson may not make the trip as he makes a slow recovery from shoulder surgery and Woodward will not take any chances with the World Cup final drop-goal hero.

“I am just leaving it up to him. We will see what the medical people say but the most important thing from our point of view is that he recovers fully,” said Woodward.

“If he is 100 per cent fit I will take him. If he isn’t, I will not take him and we will look forward to having him back in the side for the autumn.
