Ulster girls break nine-year Interpro drought

The Ulster team was led by Danielle McVeigh who performed superbly, winning five out of six possible points.

Ulster were strong all round with Louise Coffey winning all of her singles matches.

Charlene Reid and Victoria Bradshaw had strong individual performances and Stephanie Meadow and Shirley Harvey won half points at critical moments.

Connacht put up a brave defence of the title, which they won for the first time in Westport Golf Club last year.

They drew their opening match with Ulster, and beat Munster and Leinster on days two and three respectively, but were beaten by Ulster on a countback.
