Trainer Dan Skelton has expressed surprise at the news that the Turners Novices’ Chase will switch to being a handicap at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival.

The news broke in Tuesday’s Racing Post with the report also saying the cross-country chase will switch to being a handicap.
