War misses Champion run

Declaration Of War will not run in the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes due to the ground.

Trainer Aidan O’Brien has ruled out the Juddmonte International winner as conditions have eased at Leopardstown.

Joseph O’Brien was due to ride Declaration Of War but now switches to stablemate Kingsbarns.

The trainer said: “He’s a fast-ground horse even though he has some form on softer. The plans (with him) are ground dependent.”
