Roman Soldier sold

Jeremy Noseda's smart two-year-old Roman Soldier has been sold to continue his career abroad.

The Holy Roman Emperor colt was beaten just a neck by Power in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot and a length by Frederick Engels in the July Stakes at Newmarket.

Owned by Mrs Susan Roy, the juvenile held entries for races such as the Gimcrack and the Mill Reef Stakes, but has been scratched from all his engagements. Noseda said: "He's been sold."
