Huntingdon inspect on Saturday
Officials at Huntingdon will stage a second inspection at 8am on Saturday ahead of their St Stephen's Day meeting.
Conditions at the track are steadily improving and clerk of the course Andrew Morris remains optimistic with temperatures due to stay above freezing from now until raceday.
“We have seen significant improvement over the last 24 hours and temperatures have not dropped below plus two,” said Morris.
“On top of that we have had 10 millimetres of rain overnight, which helped us, and temperatures should stay above freezing for the next couple of days.
“There is still some snow lying on the course but if the forecast is correct, we’d be hopeful.”
