Bolger in hunt for Dewhurst four-timer
Jim Bolger's Chabal features among 15 runners declared for the Jumeirah Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
The Co Carlow handler has saddled Teofilo, New Approach and Intense Focus to win the last three renewals of the Group One contest and Chabal will make his final start for the trainer this weekend before joining the Godolphin team.
Bolger has also left in Free Judgement, while compatriot Aidan O'Brien has four chances with Beethoven, Fencing Master, Lord High Admiral and the well-regarded Steinbeck all declared to run.
Godolphin's sole challenger is the consistent Buzzword, while the leading candidates from the home team appear to be Xtension and Dick Turpin.
