Brighton winner Curtains tests positive for banned substance

Curtains, trained by Simon Dow, has tested positive for a banned substance after winning a maiden at Brighton in June.

The sample confirmed the presence of dexamethasone, which is prohibited.

An inquiry will be held by a British Horseracing Authority disciplinary panel on October 8.

Curtains finished fifth in the Albany Stakes and fourth in a Listed race at Newmarket on her subsequent starts.
