Hexham take a look

Tomorrow’s meeting at Hexham will need to survive a 7.30am precautionary inspection.

Temperatures are not due to drop that significantly over night but serious rain my place the meeting in doubt.

“The forecast is better than it was this time yesterday,” said clerk of the course Jonnie Fenwicke-Clennell.

“The 7.30am inspection is purely precautionary and it is only supposed to get down to around zero tonight.

“The ground is heavy, soft in places at present so we wouldn’t want a lot of rain.

“I’m fairly hopeful at this stage.”
