O'Brien reveals Henry fears

Aidan O’Brien has raised a going concern ahead of Henrythenavigator’s run in the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp on Sunday.

The Kingmambo colt bids to extend his Group One-winning sequence to five races, but connections have reservations about the ground – even though conditions are reportedly improving.

“The plan is to run him, but the ground is currently working against us so we’ll have to see,” said O’Brien.

“He’s been fine since his last run and we are very happy with him.”

O’Brien’s dual 2000 Guineas winner was last on duty at Goodwood, where he defeated Raven’s Pass by a head in the Sussex Stakes.

Paco Boy has also been a scorer at Goodwood this season – a neck winner of the Group Two Betfair Cup – and throws down stiff opposition from Richard Hannon’s yard.

Although the Desert Style colt trotted up in the seven-furlong Hungerford Stakes at Newbury, the Hannon team feel he could be seen in an even better light back over a mile in the Moulin.

“Paco Boy’s last run was great,” said Richard Hannon jnr, the trainer’s son and assistant.

“I actually think he’ll be better off over a mile – he goes there with a chance.”
