Weld horse wins EBF Maiden for third year in a row

Dermot Weld notched up another winner when Rare Ransom (4-5 favourite) ran out an easy victor of the www.thetote.com EBF Fillies Maiden.

Having won the race for the last two years, Weld had ear-marked the daughter of Oasis Dream for the race following her debut second at Leopardstown.

Pat Smullen broke well on the two-year-old and kicked clear turning into the straight for a seven-length victory over Mark Of An Angel.
