Cumani at a loss with Bankable

Luca Cumani is currently admitting defeat to the programme book as he looks for a race for the highly-progressive Bankable.

Winner of four in a row, including a Listed race at Goodwood, the four-year-old was sent off the shortest-priced favourite in the history of the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot but could only finish fifth after being drawn on the wrong side of the track.

“I’m not sure what we are going to do with him,” said Cumani.

“I was thinking of the Summer Mile at Ascot but it looks like Ramonti and Archipenko may run there so we will have to find something else.

“There is not a Listed race to be found. If someone would like to sponsor one, we’d be happy to run!”
