Epsom expecting Bolger request

Epsom clerk of the course Andrew Cooper is expecting to hear from Jim Bolger to request that New Approach can be accompanied by a companion to the start of the Vodafone Derby.

It is a tactic Bolger used in the Galileo colt’s juvenile campaign to keep him calm and as he remained unbeaten, the trainer saw no need to change plans for his run in the Newmarket Guineas, but he delayed the start by some length.
