Sense of Joy ruled out of Guineas

Sense Of Joy, one of the leading fancies for the stanjamesuk.com 1000 Guineas, has been ruled out after soft tissue damage was confirmed on Tuesday.

John Gosden’s filly won both her starts as a juvenile but has not been seen since the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood last August.

“We are obviously trying to keep everyone up to speed with the problem,” said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to her owner Prince Khalid Abdullah.

“It is not life-threatening but still potentially serious and it will keep her out of the Guineas.”
