Carlisle Sunday meeting abandoned

Tomorrow’s meeting at Carlisle has been abandoned due to waterlogging.

Clerk of the course Jonnie Fenwicke-Clennell inspected the track at 9am but found conditions to be unraceable.

He said: “We are waterlogged. It’s been raining all night and it’s forecast to rain all day.

“You’re on decent ground one minute and then find a boggy bit the next, you can’t race on it.”
