Clerks at Hexham to inspect course

This afternoon’s meeting at Hexham will need to pass an 8am inspection due to heavy overnight rain.

Around 16mm’s of rain fell between Sunday evening and Tuesday and 29mm’s has fallen since Tuesday morning.

“It is still raining here so we are going to have to take a look,” said clerk of the course Jonnie Fenwicke-Clennell.

“We have had an unbelievable amount of rain since the weekend and the going is going to be very testing.”
