Bruges could make his first start for new owner Hamdan Al Maktoum in Sunday’s Juddmonte Beresford Stakes at the Curragh.

The David Myerscough-trained colt won a Listed race at Leopardstown in July, prompting the new connections to swoop with an offer.

Bruges is one of 22 possibles for the Group Two feature, with Aidan O’Brien responsible for nine of the horses to stand their ground.

The Ballydoyle team includes Achill Island, Wassily Kandinsky, William Hogarth and Sligo.

Dermot Weld still has three entries, while Jim Bolger has Via Galilei. British interest is limited to the Mick Channon-trained Hatta Fort.
