Carlisle check

Racing at Carlisle tomorrow is subject to the track passing a precautionary inspection at 8am tomorrow.

Officials at the venue are hopeful of beating the weather but will hold an early check as one part of the course is currently waterlogged.

Clerk of the course Jonnie Fenwicke-Clennell said: “We just have one waterlogged placed at the bottom of the home straight so we’re just going to see what it’s like in the morning.

“The forecast is for showers but it should be dry tomorrow and we’d have to be optimistic.”
