Beo in Darjina rematch
The incredible Finsceal Beo will face a maximum of 15 rivals in her bid to land a third Group One race of the year in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on Friday.
Jim Bolger’s filly won the English and Irish 1000 Guineas earlier in the season and she was just denied a famous treble when beaten by Darjina in the French equivalent.
And Alain de Royer-Dupre’s filly will once again be in opposition looking to give her handler a second Royal win after Sendawar’s victory in the St James’s Palace Stakes in 1999.
As well as Darjina the French challenge is supplemented by Jean-Claude Rouget’s Missvinski while the German superstar Mi Emma is also set to take her chance for Andreas Wohler.
John Oxx’s Arch Swing, second to Finsceal Beo at Newmarket, will be looking to put a disappointing effort at the Curragh behind her.
While Rahiyah, third in the French 1000 Guineas, will try her luck once more for Jeremy Noseda.
Aidan O’Brien’s sole representative is Cherry Hinton while Richard Hannon’s Cheveley Park winner Indian Ink is still looking for her first victory of the season.
The field is completed by Costume, Darrfonah, Majestic Roi, Puggy, Scarlet Runner, Silk Blossom, Vital Statistics and Yaqeen.
