Echo stars for O'Neill

Echostar consolidated upon a pleasing debut at Thirsk with a narrow success in the Racing Again On 9th May Claiming Stakes at Beverley.

Eoghan O’Neill’s two-year-old was a staying-on third in a similar event earlier this month and put that experience to good use in the hands of Chris Catlin.

The 9-2 shot travelled well in third two furlongs out and picked up nicely when asked to get the better of Shepherds Warning by a head.

Racecourse debutant Demure Princess was third, two and a half lengths further in arrears.
