Frost claims Carlisle meeting

Carlisle have abandoned this afternoon’s meeting due to frost.

Officials had planned to inspect the track at 8am but they brought forward that check after temperatures dropped well below freezing overnight.

Clerk of the course Jonnie Fenwicke-Clennell said: “We are off. It went to minus six overnight and there’s no chance of the frost coming out.”
