Hexham to inspect

Hexham have called a precautionary inspection for 8am due to the threat of overnight frost.

The Northumberland track are due to race on Monday afternoon but clerk of the course Johnnie Fenwicke-Clennell is expecting temperatures to dip below freezing overnight.

He said: “We will take a look at 8am. There are no problems at present, no frost at all but it’s forecast to go to minus two overnight.

“The inspection is really just in case as you never know with the forecast.”
