Champ back in action
Champion jockey Ryan Moore returns to action at Nad Al Sheba in Dubai on Thursday.
Moore, who claimed the British crown for the first time in 2006, will partner the Christian Wroe-trained Sand Cat in the featured mile handicap, which has attracted a total of 10 runners.
Western Diplomat, second in the UAE 2000 Guineas in 2003, makes his first start for Ali Rashid Al Raihe in the colours of Princess Haya while the ex-Clive Brittain-trained Akona Matata makes his first start for Doug Watson.
Al Raihe’s Musaayer, runner-up on his two previous starts, will be partnered by Royston Ffrench in the 10-furlong handicap while Watson’s Crooner tries to reverse last week’s course and distance form with Malayeen in the six-furlong conditions race.
