Yeats and Swallow head Caulfield list

Aidan O’Brien’s Yeats and the former Dermot Weld-trained Grey Swallow top the weights for the BMW Caulfield Cup on October 21.

The pair have been given approximately 9st 4lb (59kg) for the 12-furlong event which is traditionally one of the best guides for the Melbourne Cup.

Godolphin’s Cherry Mix and Collier Hill are prominent in the weights on 9st and 8st 11lb respectively.

Also among the British possibles are Melbourne contenders Collier Hill, Geordieland, Land ‘N Stars, Munsef, Wunderwood and Glistening.

Godolphin have a strong team to choose from with Imperial Stride, Gonbarda, Guadalajara, Melrose Avenue, Kerashan and Northern Splendour all entered.
