Ascot Gold Cup winner Yeats has been handed top weight of approximately 9st 4lb for the Emirates Melbourne Cup on November 7.

Aidan O’Brien’s Yeats and the former Dermot Weld-trained Grey Swallow top the weights for the BMW Caulfield Cup on October 21.

Sergeant Cecil, who made history last year by being the first horse to win the Northumberland Plate, Ebor and Cesarewitch, is among 14 horses confirmed for the £140,000-added Emirates Airline Yorkshire Cup on Friday.
