Holy Roman Emperor gave Aidan O’Brien his eighth win in the Independent Waterford Wedgwood Phoenix Stakes with a convincing victory at the Curragh.

In doing so, Kieren Fallon’s mount reversed Royal Ascot form with Coventry Stakes winner Hellvelyn.
