Chepstow inspect

Chepstow will hold a precautionary inspection at 7.30am due to the threat of overnight rain.

The track is currently heavy and clerk of the course Tim Long is concerned by the prospect of more showers overnight.

He said: “We are perfectly raceable at present but the latest forecast is for as much as 10 millimetres of rain tonight.

“We thought it wise to have a look as 10 millimetres is a lot of rain and it would be difficult to predict.”
