Ballydoyle stables toast historic double at Newmarket

The Ballydoyle stables today claimed victory in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket, through 12-1 Virginia Waters and jockey Kieren Fallon, to complete an historic double at Newmarket.

The triumph came a day after Aidan O'Brien's Footstepsinthesand won the colts 2,000 Guineas and is the first time since 1941 that a stable has won both mile Classics.
