Carlisle passes inspection

This afternoon's meeting at Carlisle will go ahead after the track passed an early morning inspection.

Clerk of the course Johnnie Fenwicke-Clennell had been worried about the prospect of overnight rain but it did not materialise.

He said: "We are all right to race. It was dry overnight and racing goes ahead as planned."
